About Alcohol, Condiments and Cigarettes
I originally started the blog back in Summer 2007, Student Nutty Nurse joined later in the year.
Sorry, I’m Alcoment. I’m the main author on here, Student Nutty Nurse joins in as and when he feels the urge! But more about us in a bit.
It’s generally about life, the world and everything in between! It’s one of those damn personal blogs, but it’s not a diary of day to day mundanity (though our lives do get blogged about). Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you what I had for breakfast (nothing, I haven’t eaten breakfast since I was 14) or anything else like that!
There tends to be a lot of ranting about life’s day to day niggly bits and a bit of a commentary about the things I see around me, hopefully with a splash of humour.
There’s not one theme that runs throughout, just whatever’s going on in my head when I sit down in front of the laptop.
I’m a 27 year old female living in the UK. My name comes from the night when I had to explain to a friend why, yet again, my fridge contained nothing but alcohol and condiments.
I’m happily single, but thinking of getting myself out there again. At least there could be some blog fodder, if nothing else!
I work in mental health and spend my spare time either on here or out with friends.
I guess I can sum myself up as a coffee addict, cigarette smoker, eternal teenager and loyal friend. Sometimes arrogant, usually sarcastic and always opinionated. I’m generally a nice girl (I’m safe to introduce to families!) but with a bit of a naughty streak!
About Student Nutty Nurse
Or SNN for short.
He’s a 30-something bloke, also living in the UK. He lives happily with his wife, their two dogs and the guinea pigs. Oh, and they have a donkey too…
SNN is training to be a Community Psychiatric Nurse, despite his fear of needles and the fact that he faints at the sight of blood.
On top of that, because of one of those horrible things called a mortgage, he works more or less full time, which is why his appearances here are few and far between!
He’s embracing an early onset middle age, giving in to his desires for dog shows, caravans and writing to Points of View!
A decent bloke with a very dry sense of humour. Stand up to him, he takes it as a sign of affection.
